After some much needed rest, we accepted the generous offer of the hotel manager to personally drop us off at the entrance to the Snow Monkey Park. Here we walked up through the picturesque Cyprus Forrest to see the gorgeous snow monkeys relaxing around the river and in their on private hot spring (onsen). This took us right through till after lunch when we headed back to Yudanaka. With the best part of an afternoon left, we took a pleasant and relaxing walk exploring Yudanaka town, in particular the Peace Cannon and some of the local shops where we shopped for souvenirs. After spending some more time enjoying Japanese culture in the hotel, we experienced a pleasant dinner at another small restaurant in Yudanaka (we filled it right up). Some of us chose to spend some time at the foot onsen located on the way back to the hotel where we all finished up another day.
