Sebastian W’s Aunt Yvonne, who works as a Lab Technician at UWA, recently talked to the Year 2 students about her work as a Scientist.
She spoke to us about what scientists do, and conducted some experiments for the students.
The classes looked at basic household items that are acidic and how adding them to cabbage water changed the colour. Before we added anything to the water it was purple in colour. After adding lemon juice the cabbage water turned pink. When we added washing powder, the cabbage water turned green.
The students were very excited to learn about science in such a fun way, and we thank her for her time.
