Mr Bergin’s Year 10 Business Management and Enterprise class along with Mr Norman’s Year 11 Metalwork class are proud to introduce how ya bean? Coming soon to the College, how ya bean? will offer barista made coffee for purchase at the front of the College (attached to the Junior School).

To begin, how ya bean? will open from 7:45am to 10:00am weekdays. Look out for our signs and our very own jet-black coffee cart, designed and developed by the talented Year 11 Metalwork class. how ya bean? will offer a range of drinks brewed by our expertly trained barista as we partner with Fiori Coffee.

The Year 10 students have developed the concept of how ya bean? over the past 6 weeks. It allows the issues of an individual within our community to be acknowledged through prayer, thought and discussion. As a large community, everyday someone somewhere is impacted by a circumstance or event that has a lasting affect on them and others around them. how ya bean? provides an opportunity to simply purchase a morning coffee and extend our thinking beyond ourselves to unite behind a familiar cause impacting our community. Profits made by how ya bean? will be passed on to an organisation or cause selected monthly by members in our community.

Students involved in the Year 10 Business Management and Enterprise class will learn management, marketing, entrepreneurship and business principles as they manage an active business. Please note that ALL marketing material that is produced will be from students as they learn and develop, and will only be advised by the Marketing and Publications department of the College. The name, store layout, pricing, menu, concept and themes have been and will be further developed by the class as part of their curriculum. Your feedback will be beneficial for the class as they learn about customer service.

Opening in the next couple of weeks, we invite you to support and be apart of this initiative. As you purchase a coffee, hot chocolate, tea, chai latte, cold drink or a snack, don’t forget to ask the barista and other customers how ya bean?
