The Year 10 Christian Living classes were given the opportunity to learn from Rick Pekan from the Bible Society about Bible translations across the world and the Bible’s influence on Australian culture today.
Rick shared with students about how the Bible Society supports the translation and distribution of Bibles worldwide. Students heard stories of people finding hope through reading and engaging with God’s word.
He also explained how the Bible has shaped and influenced much of the social structures that we benefit from in Australian culture today.
As the oldest organisation in Australia (established in 1817), the Bible Society is currently celebrating 200 years of sharing the Bible.
