Swan Super Soupers in 2016

For the past two years students and staff at the College have been making soups for the homeless people of Perth.

Super Soupers allows students whose gift is performing acts of service for others, the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the community. It is also an example to all students in the Swan Community that society needs a variety of philanthropic activities, including serving those less fortunate than ourselves.

Monthly the group makes about 200L of soups, namely Pumpkin, Potato-Leek, Corn-Celery, Cauliflower-Bean and a Vegetable-Lentil soup.

To achieve this, we need parents/staff to commit to bring in ingredients on a monthly basis. For example, if you commit to three cauliflowers, than we would need you to bring these every month. The vegies can be dropped off at Senior School Admin between Monday and Tuesday mornings, prior to the soup making session on Tuesday. The week prior to Super Soupers I will send all people involved in this venture a friendly reminder.

If you like to contribute to this worthwhile cause you can find a list of required ingredients on the following link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1S6QZyZqHxhxg1OBsJAo_THwAsMXgAceLyUpnY2A6Gwk/edit?usp=sharing. Please email me the vegetables you would like to donate and I will add your name next to these vegetables. This page will regularly be updated to show which vegetables still require a donor.

If you have any questions, please contact me on 9374 8361 or fabiennec@scea.wa.edu.au.

I look forward to another amazing year of Swan Super Soupers.
