Paris – Day 8
Today was a bit of a chilly and rainy day with a top of 12 degrees. We caught the bus in the morning all the way to Opera Garnier and explored the amazingly detailed building inside. We were told about the stories of the Phantom of the Opera which some still believe is roaming the building. The creativity and intricacy that went into architecture back then was amazing!!
After the opera garnier we headed over to the Rodin Museum and walked through the gardens looking at some of the famous statues like “the Thinker” and the “Gates of Hell”. Later on in the afternoon we saw Paris from a different perspective by taking a river cruise along the Seine river. We saw the Cathedrial of Notre Dame and the Effiel Tower from the boat cruise which was incredible.
After we hopped back on the metro, stocked up on food at the grocery store near our hostel for Disneyland tomorrow and then we walked back to the hostel for dinner. Excited for tomorrow!! Grace
