ECU Free Workshops

Edith Cowan University is holding free workshops for students to experience some of the courses they have to offer. These workshops will be open in the school holidays to Year 9 – 11 student. The following workshop will be held: 

The Biodiversity Wonderland of WA

Come down to ECU for a day of exploration and discovery. This event is suitable for Year 9-11 students who are interested in Geography, Biology, Environment, Conservation and Wildlife Biological Science and Sustainability. LabRats Schools Out!

LabRats provides an opportunity for students to visit the ECU Joondalup campus and participate in a typical day of an ECU science student.  Students will participate in several hands-on science workshops, hear from our current students and researchers about the amazing science that is being taught and researched at ECU, as well as participate in some fun social activities to orientate them in and around the campus. For more information on dates and securing a booking please download the program below.

Fashion Weekend Workshop

ECU’s Fashion Weekend Workshops provide an introduction to creative draping methods for fashion research and construction. Participants will be shown strategies for generating garment ideas hrough sculptural manipulation of cloth and found garment. These intensive classes run every Saturday for five consecutive weeks and are taught by Masters Graduate Kim Pace. You Can Make It!

Maida Vale Baptist Church is hosting a week of fun with your family. Make exciting crafts with paper, wood, recycled materials, lego, and much more. There will also be a family night where parents and children spend time together doing crafts, listening to the Bible, playing board games and having dinner.

July School Holiday – Study Skills

There will be a study skills seminars available for Year 7 – 12 students who are interested in improving academic performance. These courses will be held at Edith Cowan University during the school holidays and focus on skills such as stress management, improving memory, essay planning and much more. The program uses the latest research in improving memory and is designed specifically for Western Australian Schools. For more information please download the flyer below.
