Please save the date for our annual Book Fair and Book Week Dress-Up Parade!
The Book Fair will take place in Term 4 this year, on Friday 16 October and Monday-Tuesday 19-20 October from 8:45am-9:30am and 2:30pm-4:00pm. Parents are welcome to drop in during these times to purchase Book Fair items (cash or EFTPOS).
The Book Week Dress-Up Parade will take place on Tuesday 20 October. This year’s theme is “Curious Creatures, Wild Minds!”
During the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book Week, schools and public libraries spend one glorious week celebrating books and Australian children’s authors and illustrators. Classroom teachers, teacher librarians and public librarians create colourful displays, develop activities, run competitions and tell stories relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading.
An important part of book week is the Book Week Dress Up Parade where students will dress up according to the theme or as their favourite book character.
