The College’s Year 2 students raised $429 through cupcake sales for their sponsor child Joshua.

Joshua is a student at the Light Up Ahead School in Kantolomba, Zambia, and the money raised will go towards his education as well as providing a daily meal.

As part of Service Learning, the Year 2 students were responsible for all aspects of the fundraiser including baking, selling and advertising. They were visibly excited to make a difference in someone’s life and to serve others.

The Junior School would like to encourage parents to contact Swanmission at swanmissions@scea.wa.edu.au if they would like to contribute to the cost of a second sponsor child or if they are considering sponsoring a child on their own.

A big thank you to all parent helpers and to everyone who supported the students by buying a cupcake on the day.

Matthew 25:35

For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.
