In May the Kindergarten and Pre-Primary students enjoyed a visit from the St John Ambulance WA Youth Engagement Team.
The team presented their First Aid Focus program ‘Zero, Zero, Zero, Hero!’ which was designed to teach children basic first aid concepts, to help prepare them in the event of an emergency.
During the session, the students learned many valuable skills including what an emergency is, which number to call in the event of an emergency, and what the role of a paramedic is, including how to identify one! They also had the opportunity to practice calling 000 on a fake phone and dress up in paramedic uniforms.
