Swan Christian College is currently examining the opportunity to have Camp Australia offer ‘Holiday Care’ programs here at the school. We are seeking Expressions of Interest to determine whether there is enough interest to run the programs.
This is a service that Camp Australia is delivering in several locations across WA with the ‘Holiday Care’ program being very activity-based and quite different from the regular before and after school care package that is currently running out of E block in the Junior School.
A number of parents have recently been in contact with the College to enquire if this holiday program could be made available and considerable research has subsequently been completed into the government and financial requirements around this issue.
Camp Australia have a minimum threshold of 18 full-time students in order for this program to be considered and the administration team at Swan feel it is important that the students in the holiday care program here on our site are members of the SCEA school community.
The current level of recorded parent interest in this program is considerably below the thresholds required to make it possible to operate ‘Holiday Care’ at Swan. If you would like to express your interest in holiday care on-site, please complete the Holiday Care Expression of Interest form.
If sufficient interest is generated the next step will be to continue with discussions with Camp Australia and then approach parents to transform their expression of interest into a holiday care booking.
