Our application for the Telstra Kids Digital Explorer kit grant was successful and Swan was awarded a class set of BBC Micro:Bit circuit boards, plus some project accessories.
These kits will be used by our Year 9 students in the Robotics/Electronics topic of the 2018 Interactive Digital Technologies course. The students will learn to build and program small robots.
This technology was to be included in the Year 9 course regardless, but the provision of the kits through the Telstra Kids grant has saved the College over $1000 in equipment purchases.
