Friday 13 May might be unlucky for some, but certainly not for the Year 8s! Over sixty Year 8 students opted to spend some time together on Friday afternoon on the back oval playing bubble soccer and pool soccer.
Many of the Year 8 Mentor teachers were in attendance and I would like to wholeheartedly thank them for their genuine care of the students, as events like this are impossible to run without an incredible team of teachers on board.
We were even fortunate enough to have Tom S and Layla Z (our Year 8 Wellbeing Prefects) and a few other amazing Year 12 leaders – Riley H, Tom M and Chloe S – assisting with the smooth running of the event and generally being great role models for the Year 8s.
If the sweaty faces, laughter, beaming smiles and comments like, “That was pretty lit!” are anything to go by, then the afternoon was a huge success. We ended in true Aussie fashion with a sausage sizzle and a cool drink.
