We would like to congratulate Miss Clicteur on her appointment as Timetabler and thank her for her service as a Dean of Year and Head of House.

As a result of Miss Clicteur’s appointment, Mrs Poole will commence as Acting Dean of Year 11 from Week 3 of this term until Mr Biddle returns next year. Mr Harris will lead the Year 12 cohort.

New Dean of Year Biographies

Mrs Helen Poole – Acting Dean of Year 11
Mrs Poole has been a member of the SCC English Department for the last five years. She has experience in delivering outstanding pastoral care, both within the House communities at Swan and in her church. In her time at the College, she has seen many of her students achieve results that make her feel proud (she wishes that she could say the same for her beloved Fremantle Dockers). A love of education was imbued in her from an early age, as for four generations there have been school teachers in her family. She is thrilled to work with the Year 11 cohort while they mature into thoughtful young adults who seek and desire wisdom, as in Proverbs 4:5-9.

Mr Ian Harris – Dean of Year 12
Mr Harris has been teaching for sixteen years and has been at Swan Christian College for the last ten. He has worked predominately within the Senior College, teaching Year 10 HASS and Senior School Modern History and Politics and Law. This has given him the opportunity to develop good relationships with the current Year 12 cohort, which he hopes to build on for the remainder of the year.

It is Mr Harris’ hope and intent to make the year a constructive and blessed one as he seeks to build character through learning, discernment and application; challenging the Year 12 students to transition into living their faith as an informed, contributing adult in the world.
