STTC Cambodia Trip Day 1
We have arrived safe and sound in Singapore, wasting no time before starting our adventures. After checking in to our hostel, it was straight to the hawkers food markets to feed our hungry teenagers with some local cuisine. Then a quick stroll through the first of many markets, before catching the MRT to the Singapore Flyer. In a final ditch effort to burn any energy the boys may have had left, we walked the sights of Singapore’s Harbourside, watched the night time water laser show, visited Merlion the water spouting icon and went to a luxury shopping centre, so big that it had row boats going through it. Anyway enough from me here’s what three of the boys had to say about their day, being their first time out of Australia.
Jevon: it’s a wonderful experience still hasn’t dawned on me but I’m loving the culture food and friendliness of the people.
Jed: the whole place is completely different and not what I expected at all, there are so many people and an amazing culture, food is fantastic but takes a little getting used to. The night life is full on there are so many different things to take in, already a life changing experience.
James: It’s been pretty hectic day. First time out of Australia, it’s a lot cleaner than I expected and all the people are out at night. There sure is a lot of buildings over here, it makes Perth look like a country town. The food is pretty good and it’s really cheap. Loving it!
