Our Visual Arts team is proud to announce that we were named the winning school in the Year 7-9 school category of the 2018 Black Swan Prize for Portraiture, Youth Prize.

Swan Christian College received this award for the overall high standard of work produced by our students. The prize is a Professional Art Workshop valued at $500 that will be offered to our students to encourage them as they continue to develop their skills. The Art Workshop presented by a prominent WA Visual Artist will be presented in 2019.

We would also like to congratulate Tariq Burke and Luke Schmidt for having their artwork selected in the Youth Portrait Exhibition. The Black Swan Prize is a very prestigious art prize that only includes works individually selected by a judging panel. Unlike other middle school art exhibitions, the artworks are only displayed if selected as finalists, so it is a huge accomplishment for Tariq and Luke to have been selected.
