Our teachers attended Professional Learning workshops on their Staff Professional Learning Day on Friday which included a guest speaker Zoom presentation by Dr David Smith, Director of the Kuyers Institute for Christian Teaching and Learning at Calvin University, Michigan.
They also heard from Mrs Helen Pool, Dean of Year 9, about Children and Youth Mental Health.
Teachers and operational staff furthermore participated in Flourish workshops as part of the professional training conducted across the Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA), the education association of seven schools that we are a part of.
Flourish was created by Christian Schools Australia in partnership with Morling College, Perth. The course seeks to work through the history of Christian schooling in Australia, growing a culture for raising up students with a strong sense of purpose and belonging.
