We would like to encourage parents to get involved in our Service Learning activities and commit to donating vegetables, chicken legs or beef mince for our Super Soupers program.
For the past six years students and staff at our College have been making soup for Perth’s homeless community.
The Super Soupers program allows students to contribute to the community in a meaningful manner. It exemplifies to all students that our society needs people to engage in a variety of philanthropic activities, including serving those less fortunate than us.
Two or three times a term, the students in the Super Soupers program make about 250L of soup: pumpkin soup, potato-leek soup, corn-celery soup, cauliflower-bean soup and a vegetable-lentil soup.
To achieve this, we need our parents, guardians and staff to donate ingredients on a monthly basis. For example, if you commit to donate three cauliflowers a month, we would need you to drop these off every month. The vegies can be dropped off at Administration on Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings, prior to Super Soupers Wednesday.
In the week prior to Super Soupers Wednesday, Miss Clicteur will send a friendly reminder to everyone involved in this venture.
How to get involved
If you like to contribute to this worthwhile cause, please click here for a list of the required ingredients.
This list will be updated regularly to show which vegetables still require a donor. Please let Miss Clicteur know which vegetables you would like to donate, and she will add your name to the list. Once you have emailed Miss Clicteur, please add her email address to your contacts as this will prevent her emails from being identified as spam.
The first date for Super Soupers this year is Wednesday 27 February
If you have any questions, please contact Miss Fabienne Clicteur on 93748370 or email@example.com.
I look forward to another amazing year of Swan Super Soupers!
