The Justice League (a lunch time group at the College) organised a sleep out to raise awareness of homelessness and raise funds for the Salvation Army.

This year was another huge success as staff and students braved the outdoors for a night of fun, games and “sleeping” out. It was a stormy night which drove us under the school verandas, but this just helped everyone to empathise with the conditions homeless people must deal with.

Darren Reynolds from the Salvation Army gave a talk about what the Salvos were doing to make a difference in our city and we were able to provide him with a box of canned food which the students donated. $500 were also raised which will go towards Salvation Army’s morning breakfast program which our Year 12 students participate in once a month.
