On the eve of April Fool’s Day, the Advancement Team had a sudden idea – what if Swan Christian College finally got a swan? 

Mr Terry Eason then added a clever twist – perhaps Principal Dr Pretorius could gift the College a swan as her “swan song”, sourced from Temu due to budget constraints.

Mr Lloyd Barlow, Mrs Erin Vallance and Dr Pretorius happily joined in to bring the idea to life, helping turn the spontaneous moment into a fun April Fool’s reel for the community.

Since being posted nearly two days ago, the reel has gained more than 20,000 views across Facebook and Instagram, along with over 400 likes and 180 shares. It seems to have tickled a funny bone in the community – a light-hearted moment that feels especially welcome in a time when the world feels unsettled.
