Years 4 to 6 Swimming Trials

On Friday 12 February, students in Years 4 to 6 participated in the annual swimming trials.  All students were given the chance to swim in three different events, Freestyle, Breaststroke and Backstroke.  All the students did a great job and we are looking forward to the Inter-House Swimming Carnival, which is being held on 11 March at Challenge Stadium.

Thank you to everyone who came along to support the College and the students.

Woolworths Earn and Learn

Last year the Junior School students participated in Woolworths Earn and Learn and collected over 15000 stickers!

The points were used to purchase board game kits for students to enjoy during lunch breaks and the Early Childhood students received some mini clipboards to use during inquiry. These items were delivered to the College early this term and are now available for the students to use.

Thank you for your participation in the 2015 Woolworths Earn and Learn!

Colin Buchanan Concert

The Kindy to Year 5 students had a treat last Wednesday, 17 February, when Colin Buchanan and his puppet friend Nudge performed in the Maali Mia Theatre. A group of around 40 students from Ellenbrook Christian College joined us to share in the fun.

Old and new songs were sung, magic tricks were performed, a crocodile hunter added excitement, and a crazy Chef was a huge laugh. A great time was enjoyed by all, Colin certainly had the students jumping and singing amongst the streamers, flags, flying chickens and confetti.

It was great to hear the Kindy’s singing so well to Isaiah 9:6.

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

An extra enormous THANK YOU must be sent to the admin staff who cleaned the theatre straight after the event. I don’t think I have ever seen so much confetti in one place!
