As part of our commitment to Service Learning, our Year 5 students had the wonderful opportunity to welcome visitors from a local aged care home and put our school values into action by serving and connecting with members of our wider community.
As part of their learning in Science and Technologies this term, the students proudly showcased their shadow theatres, using light and shadow to bring their stories to life. They loved taking on the role of performers and sharing their creations with such a special audience.
Students then spent time playing chess and other games with our visitors, taking the lead in explaining games, starting conversations and making sure everyone felt included.
It was wonderful to see the kindness, patience, respect and care our students demonstrated throughout the visit. Experiences like these provide valuable opportunities for students to understand that service can be as simple as giving their time, sharing their talents and making meaningful connections with others in our local community.

Join us for this year’s Junior School production, A Hairy Tale, a fun-filled retelling of the classic Rapunzel story. Performed by our talented Junior School students, this colourful, chaotic and hilarious fairy tale parody is brought to life through song, movement and drama. It’s a fast-paced production the whole family will enjoy.
Somewhere deep within the enchanted Wychwood Forest, two supremely spoiled royals lived a life of absolute luxury, until their bratty behaviour finally went too far. Banished from their home, Prince Rupert and Princess Iphigenia cannot return until they discover the true meaning of love and sacrifice. But surviving the wilderness is no easy task, especially when they crash into a haircut-evading Rapunzel, a trendy Big Bad Wolf, and peasant siblings who traded their family electronics for five highly questionable magic beans!
