Year 7 and 8 Awards
College Stars
- Awarded in Term 4 only
- Recipients receive a badge and certificate
GOLD STAR for academic achievement
To receive a gold star, students must have achieved:
- A-grades in all MESH courses
- A-grades in either 2 x semester-long courses or 1 x year-long course
- No D or E-grades
SILVER STAR for House participation
To receive a silver star, students must have accumulated 10 House points across Years 7 and 8.
Both awards require the approval of the relevant Dean of Year based on SEQTA records. Students worthy of College Stars are expected to be role models who follow College policies.
Year 9-12 Awards
College Colours
- Awarded in Term 2 and Term 4 only
- Recipients receive a blazer emblem (embroidery voucher) and certificate
ACADEMIC COLOURS
To receive academic colours, students must have achieved a minimum of two years of academic excellence based on the following results:
Year 9 and 10:
- A-grades in at least 3 x MESH courses in a single year for two years (based on WA Curriculum grades)
- 2 x other A-grades
- No D or E-grades
Year 11 and 12:
- 6 courses - 4 x A-grades per year over two years
- 5 courses - 4 x A-grades
- 4 courses - 3 x A-grades and 1 x B grade
- 3 Courses – A-grades in all courses
- OR any student who averages 75% across 4 or more ATAR courses
- No D or E-grades
ARTS COLOURS
To receive Arts Colours, students must have achieved a minimum of two years of outstanding involvement in the Arts. This may have required:
- A significant role in at least 2 x out-of-class productions – approximately 50 hours each.
- A significant role in 1 x out-of-class production, and involvement in 1 x musical group (choir or band) for two years, or 2 x dance night performances, or significant contribution to 1 x disciplines within the creative arts.
- Involvement in 1 x choir and 1 x performing band [e.g. jazz band or worship band]] for at least two years.
- A significant contribution to 2 x disciplines within the creative arts [e.g. visual arts, media, textiles].
SPORTS COLOURS
To receive Sports Colours, students must have achieved a minimum of two years of sporting excellence at the College. This requires:
- Selection to represent the College in at least two sports and having attained an excellent level of proficiency in at least one sporting activity.
- Willingly provided assistance to the activity leader and to peers and demonstrated commendable leadership skills or portrayed a positive role model.
HOUSE COLOURS
To receive House Colours, students must have achieved a minimum of 30 House points (or equivalent) since Year 7.

Swimming Carnival |
As this is an outside-of-school-hours event, all students who swim should be awarded 2 House points at the discretion of the House Co-ordinator. |

Athletics Carnival |
Students who achieve Champion and Runner-Up Awards receive 2 House points. Students who participate in five or more events should receive 2 House points. All other participants should receive 1 House Point. |

Cross-Country Carnival |
Students who finish in the top five receive 2 House points. All other participants receive 1 House point. |
4 |
Term 1 Interhouse Sport |
1 House point for participation. 2 House points for outstanding* participation and/or leadership (this is at the House Co-ordinators discretion). |

Term 2 Interhouse Sport |
1 House point for participation. 2 House points for outstanding* participation and/or leadership (this is at the House Co-ordinators discretion). |

Term 3 Interhouse Sport |
1 House point for participation. 2 House points for outstanding* participation and/or leadership (this is at the House Co-ordinators discretion). |

Term 4 Interhouse Sport |
1 House point for participation. 2 House points for outstanding* participation and/or leadership (this is at the House Co-ordinators discretion). |

Performing Arts |
Students who take on a leadership role receive 2 House points. All other participants receive 1 House point. |

Creative/Fine Arts |
1 House point for all voluntary participants. |

Chess |
The winner or each year group should receive 2 House points. All other participants should receive 1 House point. |
*Outstanding – Participation in 3+ rounds of sport.
SERVICE COLOURS
To receive Service Colours, students must have achieved a minimum of two years of outstanding involvement in Service to the College’s co-curricular groups and beyond. This may have required:
Year 9-10:
- Ongoing participation and servant-hearted leadership in 2 x College co-curricular groups, including but not limited to - Super Soupers, Justice League, Christian Union, Cadets, Lego League, A/V Club, and the Dungeons & Dragons Club.
Year 11 and 12:
- Students in Years 11 and 12 complete a Service-Learning booklet, where they can log their community service hours. Students should aim to attain 100+ hours of community service in Year 11 or 12 if they want to be recognised.
In Years 11 and 12, students may also be considered for College Colours in any of the above categories due to their long service in one of these areas to the College.
All College Colours require the approval of the relevant Dean of Year based on SEQTA records. Students worthy of College Colours are expected to be role models who follow College policies.

- Recipients receive a blazer emblem (embroidery voucher) and certificate
Students receive College Honours in the semester after they have received three or more College Colours. This recognises the depth and breadth of their achievement.
