Swanonline welcomes students from Years 7 to 12 and provides flexible online education taught from a Christian Worldview. The alternative pathway offers students and their families an opportunity to gain a world-class education that suits their situation, lifestyle or remote geographic location.

Providing learning programs that cater for all post-school destinations, both ATAR and non-ATAR subjects are offered in Years 11 and 12, allowing students to pursue careers through university, TAFE and other avenues.

About the Program

Swanonline is a sub-school of Swan Christian College and provides flexible, online learning programs to students who need them.

Programs are designed for the virtual classroom and taught from a biblical worldview, providing an opportunity for students with exceptional circumstances to thrive in a space that suits their needs.

Our flexible and dynamic curriculum covers the West Australian and National Curriculum standards and enables students to choose an ATAR or Non-ATAR pathway in Years 11 and 12.

Enrolment Criteria

Students enrolling with Swanonline must meet specific requirements and have supporting documentation to support their application. Reasons can include but are not limited to:

  • Geographically Isolated
  • Diagnosed physical or mental illness or disability
  • Temporarily living or travelling interstate or overseas
  • Participating in elite performance in sports or the arts
  • Any Special Circumstance
 

All students are required to have a permanent address in Western Australia.

Our Offering

Swanonline is an alternative option for students and families who find that the traditional school model does not suit their situation or lifestyle. We offer the freedom to participate in pursuits outside of the classroom, such as national and international sporting activities or even helping out on the family’s farm.

Swanonline provides an opportunity for students to obtain their WACE including ATAR and Vocational studies in Years 11 and 12 through a unique, yet suitable pathway. Students are invited to school activities such as the Year 12 Ball, graduation and various sporting and excursion activities.

The Curriculum

Our program for Year 7 – Year 12 caters to all student learning directions including ATAR courses, General courses, Vocational Education and Training or Trade Training, with equal respect and encouragement for excellence in the pathways students choose.

We deeply desire for our students to have a strong sense of connection to the school, their teachers and fellow students.
