Parents from both the Junior and Senior Schools gathered in the Maali Room on Monday 24 February for the Term 1 Parent Coffee and Connect Morning Tea. The event provided a valuable opportunity for parents to connect with the College’s Executive Team and engage in a meaningful discussion on raising active, engaged citizens and Christians in today’s complex world.
Psychologist Josephine D’Arrigo, Chaplain Naava Brooks, and Principal Darnelle Pretorius led the conversation, addressing key challenges faced by young people in a postmodern society where absolute truth is often questioned. The discussion explored ways to instil the College’s RISE (Respect, Integrity, Spirituality and Excellence) culture, build resilience, and foster deeper connections with children.
Parents also had the opportunity to ask questions and network with one another, making for an enriching and thought-provoking morning. The College appreciates the involvement of all who attended and looks forward to continuing these important conversations in future sessions.
