At Swan Christian College, we take great pride in celebrating the sporting achievements of our students, both past and present. Some of you will remember Mitchell Pope, a member of the Class of 2022 and older brother of current Year 10 student, Mackenzie.

During his time at Swan, Mitchell was the captain of the SCC Dingoes, leading the team to victory in the Graeme Wood Shield, a highly competitive Twenty20 interschool cricket competition.

Since graduating, Mitchell has continued to pursue his passion for cricket, and we are thrilled to share that he has been selected to make his 1st grade debut for Midland-Guildford in the WA Premier Cricket competition. This is a fantastic achievement, as Premier Cricket is the level just below elite competitions like the Sheffield Shield and Big Bash League.

Although his debut match was postponed due to wet conditions, Mitch will still take the field this Saturday. Even better, he will be playing alongside his great mate and fellow former SCC Dingo, Max Bittner.

Congratulations, Mitch! We look forward to following your cricket journey.
