This week saw several of our NEAS soccer and netball teams step up to the challenge in their respective finals, demonstrating determination, teamwork and strong College spirit.
On Tuesday afternoon, our Year 7 and Year 8–9 girls netball teams faced off against La Salle College right here at Swan. The energy in the gym was high, and it was wonderful to see staff drop by to support the girls on their way home. The encouragement from the sidelines made a real difference and added to the excitement of the matches.
Meanwhile, our Year 7 and Year 8–9 boys soccer teams were also in action. The Year 7 team played Ellenbrook Christian College at Jack Mann Oval and gave a strong account of themselves in front of a supportive crowd. The 8–9s travelled to Swan Valley Anglican Community School for their final after finishing second on the ladder. They showed excellent teamwork and resilience against a tough opponent.
Wrapping up the week, our Year 10–12 boys soccer team played their final against Helena College on Wednesday, also at Jack Mann Oval. Mr Spencer had the boys well-prepared, and the team put in a spirited performance in what was a closely contested and action-filled match.
Congratulations to all teams who made it to the finals. We’re proud of the way you represented Swan Christian College with skill, sportsmanship and integrity.
