On Friday 27 and Saturday 28 June, Swan Christian College will be transformed into a working film set for The Borrowed Song, an exciting short film project under the Film Futures Initiative.

Directed by Martin Wilson (Great White) and filmed by Rob Bygott, one of Western Australia’s most respected cinematographers, the shoot will offer our students a rare chance to engage with the film industry firsthand. Alumni working professionally in film, along with senior students from Murdoch University, will also be involved, mentoring Swan students in both acting and behind-the-scenes roles.

This initiative is part of our Performing Arts and Media department’s ongoing commitment to offering rich, real-world learning experiences that inspire creativity and open up career pathways. A big thank you to Dr Owen Beck, Mr Andrew Matthews and the team for leading such innovative work.
