After a long journey that began at Perth Airport late Monday night 23 June, the Cambodia Mission Team has arrived safely. There were a few extra security checks along the way, but spirits remained high as our Senior School students and staff stepped into the humid warmth of Phnom Penh – instantly reminded that they were far from home.
From navigating bustling streets in tuk tuks to sharing meals at local restaurants, students are already immersing themselves in Cambodian culture. The food has been a standout so far, with delicious local dishes leaving everyone eager to try more.
Tomorrow, the team will visit the Killing Fields to learn about Cambodia’s challenging past and reflect on how history continues to shape the country today. It will be a day of deep learning and reflection.
We ask for your continued prayers for the team as they settle in, serve with open hearts, and explore what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ in a very different corner of the world.
