We are pleased to introduce the Swan Christian College Careers Team, people dedicated to supporting students as they explore and plan their pathways beyond school. The team consists of Nathalee Holmes (Workplace Learning Coordinator), Cheri MacDonagh (Worklink Manager), and David Pethick (Careers Practitioner), working collaboratively to provide guidance and opportunities for all students.
Together, we support students in understanding the wide range of options available after school. The world of work is constantly changing, and students are faced with many possible pathways, including university, vocational education and training (VET), apprenticeships, traineeships, and emerging industries. Our role is to help students navigate these choices by providing accurate information, personalised support, and meaningful experiences.
A key part of our work involves building strong connections with external organisations. We engage with universities, TAFE providers, training groups, employers, and industry representatives to create valuable opportunities for students. These include guest speakers, career events, industry visits, work experience, workplace learning, traineeships, and information sessions that give students real insight into potential career pathways.
We believe that career development is more than simply choosing a job. It is about helping students understand their interests, strengths, and values so they can make informed and confident decisions about their future. Through conversations, pathway planning, and real-world experiences, we support students as they begin to explore their aspirations and consider the possibilities ahead.
As a team, we are committed to working alongside students, families, and staff to ensure every student is supported in developing a clear and meaningful pathway beyond school. We look forward to working with you and assisting with your child’s career journey.
