Swan View Football Club Looking for Players

Swan View Football Club are looking for 2-3 more players to complete their Year 9 team.

The Club has reduced fees this year to $170, which includes a new polo shirt and $20 Harvey Norman Gift voucher.  

Training is Tuesday and Thursday 4:30pm to 6:00pm, and games are Sunday mid-morning.

Swan View Football club has offered that they can arrange transport if needed. More details at www.swanviewfc.com.au.

 

Free Evidence-Based Parenting Programs

Midvale Hub parenting Service is offering a number of free parenting programs this term. 

1-2-3 Emotion Coaching

A three-session parenting program for parents of children aged 3-10 years old. The program explores ways parents can increase their children’s ability to manage and self regulate their feelings and reactions. Tuning in to Kids

A six-session program for parents of children aged 3-10 years old. The program explores ways that parents can help their children develop emotional intelligence and increase the emotional connection between parents and children. Download the flyer for more information.

Free UCAT Information Session

 
Considering a Career in Medicine or Dentistry? The National Institute of Education will be offering a Free Webinar on the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT), Interviews, Med School Applications and Pathways into Medicine.

When: Sunday Evening 16 May 2021 (6:00 pm – 8.30 pm AEST)
 
This forum is an opportunity for teachers, students and parents to find out about the UCAT, Interviews, Applications, and have all questions answered by expert teachers who have been working in the field since 1999.

AVCAT Scholarships

AVCAT scholarships, including the Long Tan Bursary, are tertiary scholarships for the children and grandchildren of Australian ex-serving veterans. Scholarships are up to $4000 per year, for three years.

To be eligible students must be:

  • Enrolled, or planning to enrol in a full-time course at university, TAFE or RTO in 2022
  • The child, stepchild, foster child, or grandchild of an Australian ex-serving veteran
  • An Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • In receipt of, or eligible to receive, Centrelink payments including Youth Allowance, ABSTUDY, Austudy or an accepted means-tested Commonwealth government payment in 2022

Applications close at midnight on 31 October 2021.
