Faire & Co Christmas Workshops

FAIRE & Co is a creative hub to do things, make stuff, take it home, work it out and play around. They are all about living a creative, and sometimes messy, life.  Slightly nuts, we love seeing colour, mess, creativity, imagination and joy on our Faire Friends faces.

In the Christmas school holidays they will be holding a variety of creative children’s workshops for all the creative children interested. Download the activity dates below and visit faireandco.com for more information on how to register for these workshops.

Parenting Workshop (Cyber safety & Body image)

The City of Stirling’s Family Services is running a parenting workshop on Cyber safety and positive body image for all parents interested. Jordan Foster is a Clinical Psychologist, cyber safety expert and winner of the 2018 WA Young Achiever Award. She will present information on the current social media and gaming trends and most risky apps in the community.

On the other hand, The Butterfly Foundation from NSW will conduct the workshop on Positive Body Image. Information on eating disorder, ‘fat talk’, and the link between poor body image and self-esteem and other risk-taking behaviours will be also be discussed in this workshop. Body image is consistently reported as one of the top three concerns for young people. With society’s increasing obsession with appearance and diet, it can be difficult for parents to know how to support positive body image. The Butterfly Foundation is Australia’s leading not-for-profit for eating disorders and body image. This seminar aims to empower parents so they feel better equipped to help their child develop and maintain body confidence through their child and adolescent years.

Thursday, 6 December, 5.30pm-9.00pm
