On Friday 12 May, the Junior School had their WACSSA AFL Carnival, and the Year 6 boys achieved impressive results. The team went into the day undefeated, and managed to come away with a perfect record – winning all five games. The first game was an especially thrilling affair, with the team coming from a no-goal first half to clinch victory in the final minute by one point. The victory was well-deserved, and the team celebrated a job well done.
Congratulations also go to the Year 6 girls, who finished as runners up in the competition. Despite this being the first time for many of them to play Aussie rules football, the girls’ efforts were rewarded with a silver medal. Overall, it was a great day at the WACSSA AFL Carnival for the Junior School, with all teams performing incredibly well. A massive congratulations to the boys and girls involved for their outstanding victories!
