On Sunday 18 October, Year 10 student Boudene became the first Swan student to participate in the Associated and Catholic Colleges (ACC) All-Stars Netball competition. Well done Boudene!

The ACC All-Stars Netball team is a representative team that all ACC schools can nominate players from Year 10-12 to try out for. The competition has traditionally been between the ACC schools and the School Sport WA (SSWA) schools. This year was the first year that the Independent Girls School Sport Association (IGSSA) participated in the competition, which meant that each association had two games to play.

The ACC have provided a brief summary of the games, which is also available on their website.

Congratulations to the ACC Netball Team for winning the All-Stars Netball Inter-Association Competition held on Sunday 18 October at the Gold Netball Centre.

This year the Independent Girls School Sport Association (IGSSA) joined the competition creating a tri-series event against the ACC and SSWA. The ACC and IGSSA both defeated the SSWA team convincingly in the first two rounds. The winner of the final round would determine the overall champion team for 2020.

Round 3 was a close game with IGSSA 5 points ahead at half time. The ACC stepped up and came back in the second half, defeating IGSSA 28 – 23. Both teams were very strong and played a high standard game which was enjoyable to watch.

As a College, we would like to congratulate Boudene on making this representative team and being an integral part of both wins for the ACC. We are proud of her achievements and she represented the College exceptionally well.
