Year 11 student Mitchell competed in the Goldfields Cyclassic race on the WA Day long weekend and returned with great results.
The Goldfields Cyclassic is a two-day, two-stage race across the Goldfields from Kalgoorlie-Boulder to Menzies (132km) and on to Leonora (105km). Mitchell was the first under 19 to finish day one and was awarded the best young male rider prize. He also placed second in the men’s C Grade.
