Day Two
After a great night’s sleep and incredible breakfast at Karalundi College campus, we headed off on our way to Yulga Jinna community to begin our work.
With teams working hard in the hot sun we accomplished so much on day two of our tour. From upgrading and building a playground for the community to cleaning and building a nice BBQ picnic area, it was rewarding to take a step back and appreciate it all alongside the children of the community.
Once returning to Karalundi College and enjoying a beautiful swim in the campus pool, we sat down for dinner and talked about our day and shared our stories.
To finish off we watched the movie Rabbit-Proof Fence in the campus church, where we afterwards learned that we actually travelled alongside the fence for parts of yesterday’s bus trip between Wubin and Meekatharra.
With day two coming to an end, it’s been an amazing experience so far and we can’t wait to continue our work with the Yulga Jinna community tomorrow.
