Day 3
Completion day! After another great hard day’s work at Yulga Jinna community, we finished painting and building the playground and picnic area for the members of the community, which was then followed by an amazing BBQ lunch cooked by Swan Christian College staff and students for everyone. A great opportunity to meet and talk about life together!
Once departing Yulga Jinna and saying our farewells we drove to Peak Hill, an abandoned mine site, to explore the land and see up close the old housing and buildings that were created around the 1900’s. The exploring continued as we then drove to Biluen Pools and took a walk along the bank admiring the beautiful view and playful pelicans.
Once heading back to Karalundi we had a chance to go for a swim and refresh before travelling to Mount Albert to watch the sunset on top of the mountain.
All in all, today has been such an incredibly rewarding day, from seeing the children and community light up at Yulga Jinna to then exploring our beautiful country and God’s creation; all we can say is wow.
Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
