There are lots of ways we use at the College to get information to our parents and families.
Below is a list of the avenues we use to keep you informed with what is happening across our School:
- Inform – our regular newsletter that is emailed out to parents fortnightly on a Wednesday.
- Emails – emails that we send home can be specific to your child, their class group, year group or relevant to the whole College community.
- SMS – this avenue is used for Absentees as well as information specific to your child, their class or other group, year group or the whole College community. We also use SMS for emergency notices, however please understand that due to circumstances we cannot control, this method is not failsafe.
- College App – The College App is where you can find news, notices, calendars, and a map of the College. We also use the App to send emergency notices and advise that you download the App from Itunes or Google Play Store. For instructions how to download and install the App on your phone, please go to www.swan.wa.edu.au/app To receive notifications as we send them you will need to have your push notification turned on for this App.
- Parent Lounge – families all have a personal login for the Parent Lounge. Here you will find instant access to emails from staff, your child’s homework tasks, assessment schedules, school reports, results and general information. If you have not received your login and password details, please call the College on 9374 8300. New families were emailed out to families on the first day of Term 1.
- Website – The College website contains all sorts of information including News and Events, College Calendar, Uniform Shop, Booklists, LWT, Blog as well as sites for Swanmissions, Swan Trade Training Centre, and much more. Please go to http://www.swan.wa.edu.au
- Facebook – The College has a Facebook page, which we use to give out information, share photos and videos about what is happening around our campuses with you. We also have some specific Facebook pages, which you can join. Facebook groups currently running are: Sports News, Second Hand Uniform Buy and Sell, Swan Christian College Netball.
