Our Languages Ambassadors were kept very busy on Thursday 21 March, celebrating Harmony Day with a culture quiz outside the Middle/Senior Library at lunch time.
Inside the Library, our librarians had prepared a colourful display reminding us of our multi-cultural backgrounds at Swan Christian College.
The quiz featured five questions from five countries with links to our ambassadors: the Philippines, Myanmar, Japan, England and France. Some students were quite surprised to know that black pudding contains pork blood, or that Japan has more than 100 active volcanoes, or that more than 700 Million snails per year are eaten in France!
International treats were exchanged for correct answers on the quizzes. Thank you to our Languages Ambassadors and to all students who participated in this activity.
