Interhouse Cross Country Carnival

On Tuesday 23 June, the Middle and Senior School were finally able to hold our Interhouse Cross Country event, after having it delayed by restrictions due to COVID 19. We were blessed with some amazing weather, in amongst some rain the night before and later in the afternoon, which meant the event could go ahead as planned and nobody got wet!

The format was slightly different to previous years, with each year group coming out of class for one period during the day to complete the course. We were also able to include our new Mountain Biking track as part of the event, which really added a more ‘cross country’ element to the course.

The individual results on the day are listed below.

I would like to thank Timing Solutions for helping us with our timing for the day and a handful of Year 12 leaders who helped with water and handing out timing chips. Most of all I woud like to thank the PE staff for helping with setting up and packing away all of the equipment for the day, and for manning the course and ensuring the safety of our students, as well as encouraging them along the way.

The Interhouse Athletics Carnival is scheduled for 5 August and at this stage will go ahead in a normal carnival format. More information to come early next term.
