On Saturday the 27 November Swan Christian College participated in the annual LEGO League Regional Tournament at St Stephen’s in Carramar.

As part of the competition, the students from Years 6 to 9 presented a creative and innovative solution to a real life problem. The students also designed and coded robots to solve and interact with a range of problems.

The competition involved working together to solve a range of problems using robotics, coding and innovative solutions. The topic this year was transportation and the following areas were addressed:

  1. Identify areas where transportation can be improved
  2. Design a solution.
  3. Share the solution with others and then refine it

The students performed to a high level and competed against other schools in Perth. We had two teams take part and they placed well on the day with both teams being complimented for their excellent teamwork and innovative solutions. We are looking forward to participating again next year.
