A group of 30 students recently represented WA Christian Schools at the National Christian School Games.

Students, coaches and managers headed to Narraabeen, NSW to represent the WA Christian Schools in the U15 Girls Basketball, U15 Girls Netball and Open Girls Netball competitions. Students from Swan Christian College, Mundaring Christian College, Dale Christian School and Rehoboth Christian College were selected in these teams.

The competition allowed our students to compete at a higher level and the girls adjusted to the challenge well. Though we didn’t bring home any medals, our girls were commended for their ‘never give up’ attitude, their sportsmanship and their respectful manner on the court.

Congratulations to our team MVPs (most valuable players) – Asher C(Basketball, Dale CS), Morgan S (Open Netball, Swan CC) and Cassie N (U15 Netball, Swan CC). Alana T (Mundaring CC), Jaz M (Swan CC) and Holly K (Swan CC) received the coaches awards for their team.

A BIG thank you to our team coaches and managers – Mr Croot, Mrs Styles, Miss Sutton, Mrs Mirco, Mrs Sackich, Mr and Mrs Cowie – who spent many hours training the girls in the lead-up to the games.

Thank you also to the parents who travelled over to support our teams.

Students from Years 7 to 12 are eligible to be selected for this event. It is held every two years and the next National Christian School Games will be held on the Gold Coast in 2019.
