Swan Christian College is pleased to announce the commencement of an afterschool STEM program.

Bringing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics together in an interdisciplinary approach, the STEM program seeks to provide students with an opportunity to work on challenging problems and projects through practical activities. The program will develop collaborative environments where students experiment, use recent technologies, test ideas and creative innovative solutions to real world contexts.

The first module will explore the concept of prototyping. Students will explore the principles of the engineering design process utilising 3D printing and other associated technologies.

The pilot program is open to Year 7-10 students and complements the established LEGO LEAGUE group operating out of Middle School on Thursdays.

STEM will commence on Tuesday 13 June and continue every following Tuesday from 3:30pm – 5:00pm. For further information, students may collect a permission letter from Student Services or the Science office in the Senior School.
