Swan Super Soupers

We would like to encourage you to get involved in our Service Learning activities and commit to donating vegetables for our Super Soupers program.

For the past 5 years, students and staff at our College have been making soup for Perth’s homeless community.

The Super Soupers program allows students to contribute to the community in a meaningful manner. It exemplifies to all students that our society needs people to engage in a variety of philanthropic activities, including serving those less fortunate than us.

Each month, the students in the Super Soupers program make about 250L of soup: pumpkin soup, potato-leek soup, corn-celery soup, cauliflower-bean soup and a vegetable-lentil soup.

To achieve this, we need our parents, guardians and staff to donate ingredients on a monthly basis. For example, if you commit to donating three cauliflowers a month, we would need you to drop these off every month. The veggies can be dropped off at Reception on Mondays and Tuesday mornings, prior to Super Soupers Tuesday.

In the week prior to Super Soupers Tuesday, I will send a friendly reminder to everyone involved in this venture.

How to get involved

If you would like to contribute to this worthwhile cause, please click here for a list of the required ingredients.

This list will be updated regularly to show which vegetables still require a donor. Please email me the vegetables you want to donate, and I will add your name to the list.

We will prepare our first lot of soups on Tuesday 27 February, Week 5.

If you have any questions, please contact Miss Fabienne Clicteur on 93748361 or  fabienne.clicteur@scea.wa.edu.au.

I look forward to another amazing year of Swan Super Soupers!
