On 17 May Saturday evening, the Gym at Swan Christian College was alive with music, movement and community spirit as families from across the Junior and Senior Schools gathered for the College’s much-anticipated Community Bushdance.
Last Thursday, eight dedicated staff members accompanied 79 excited Year 4 students on their first ever Year 4 Camp. The theme for the camp was Ninja Academy, where students explored what it means to be a 'ninja' – focusing on qualities such as resilience, courage, teamwork and perseverance.

On Wednesday 21 May, the Senior School community came together for a fun and meaningful lunchtime event to raise over $3,000 for Beyond Blue.

Despite the cold and wet weather, several staff from Swan Christian College’s Junior School took part in Perth’s biggest annual fundraising challenge, the HBF Run for a Reason, on Sunday 25 May.

If you’re in Year 10 and considering a career in the trades, this is your chance to get hands-on with real tools at the Swan Trade Training Centre’s free Try a Trade Day. This event offers the opportunity to explore a range of trades, including Building and Construction, Electrotechnology, and Engineering: Heavy Metal Fabrication.
On a beautiful (if slightly warm) day on Friday, 16 May, the 2025 House Cross Country Carnival was held.
Parents and friends are warmly invited to our Creative Lab Exhibition Evening on Wednesday 18 June at 6:00pm, showcasing the creative work of our Year 10–12 students from Semester 1.
Some of our Year 7 to 11 students have been selected to participate in the IGNIS Mission, run by NASA and Australian universities including Edith Cowan University (ECU). The IGNIS Mission seeks to better understand the relationship between lightning events and bushfire ignition. Edith Cowan University (ECU) is the only university in Western Australia participating in this mission.
Departing on Sunday 22 June, Year 6 students from our school will be undertaking an education tour of the national capital. Students will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy.
Last week, selected Junior School classes took part in National Simultaneous Storytime, a nationwide event that promotes reading and literacy for young children.
Over the Easter holidays, Year 4 student Amy S proudly represented Swan Christian College at the WA Interschool Equestrian Championships, held from 13 to 16 April at the State Equestrian Centre in Brigadoon.
The Annual College Meeting on Monday 19 May was a valuable evening to hear updates from our Executive Team and the Parent Christian Life Committee. The video replay of the meeting is now available.
We are pleased to announce that Naomi C in Year 8 has been accepted into the Code Crush program hosted by Murdoch University this June.
We are proud to share that two of our talented Class of 2024 students, Lola B and Samantha M, have been selected to exhibit their artworks in the prestigious The West Australian Pulse 2025 at the Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA). This is a remarkable achievement, as only 61 works by 2024 Year 12 Visual Arts graduates were chosen from over 300 submissions across 37 schools statewide.
