Students who went on the Christian Union camp from 23-24 February enjoyed a fun time building relationship with each other as well as with God.

On Friday afternoon we ventured out to the beach and enjoyed swimming and games despite the windy conditions.

On arriving at Camp Wattle Grove, we spent the evening doing a Master Chef challenge of DIY pizzas. This was followed by games and a devotion run by our Year 11 and 12 Christian Union Leaders.

Saturday began with a pancake breakfast which fuelled us for a game of Capture the Flag on the oval and Marco Polo in the pool. We had two more Bible talks on Saturday followed by small group discussions which gave the opportunity for students to talk together and encourage each other.

Throughout camp we discussed what it means to be unified in Christ, to love each other and to keep focused on Jesus.

On Saturday afternoon students put their teamwork into action in a wide game involving group challenges, collecting and swapping tokens and, for some teams, tipping water on each other’s heads.

Overall, campers enjoyed a fun time building relationship with each other as well as with God. We hope that these relationships will continue to grow at school and through the weekly Christian Union meetings on Monday lunchtimes.
