On Friday 27 October, students from the Year 9 and Year 10 Basketball Specialist classes competed in the Elite Basketball Tournament held at Warwick Stadium. The tournament is a great opportunity for the students to put into practice the skill and gameplay they have been working on in class this year, as well as compete against teams from other schools with basketball programs.
We took three teams to the tournament, one in each of the boys first and second divisions and a girls team in the second division. All three teams worked well together, representing themselves and the College well. Each team won at least one of their round-robin matches, with the girls making it to the final where they were defeated in a very close game.
Congratulations to all the teams, players and coaches and a particular mention goes to Trent C who was selected to the honorary all-star team for the day.
