Ending Well

As the year draws to a close, our College community finds itself in a season of both reflection and celebration. The final weeks of Term 4 bring with them a beautiful mixture of gratitude, anticipation, and hope – reminding us that every ending is also the beginning of something new.

Our Year 12 students have completed their school journey and almost finished writing their WACE examinations. We pray for them as they step into a new season, trusting that the faith, wisdom, and resilience nurtured at Swan Christian College will continue to guide them. Our Year 11 students, too, are concluding their academic year with diligence and determination, preparing for the leadership opportunities that lie ahead.

Teachers are busy marking, reporting, and planning, ensuring that every student finishes the year well. Families across the College are also preparing for transition – some remaining to continue their journey with us, and others moving on. To those families who are leaving, we send our heartfelt blessings. May you take with you the warmth of our community and the heart of our culture, where faith and learning walk hand in hand.

The coming weeks are filled with celebration: the Fenceline Art Awards, Presentation Evenings, Year 6 Graduation, the Year 1–6 Awards Assembly, and our much-loved Carols by Candlelight. The Early Years Nativity Play will soon fill our hearts with joy as it retells the story of Christ’s birth – reminding us that Jesus is the centre of all we do, and the true reason for this season.

The Apostle Paul writes in 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” As we reflect on the year that has been, may we each take these words to heart. Finishing well is not only about results or achievements, but about faithfulness – staying true to the values and calling God has placed before us.

As we conclude this school year, let us give thanks for God’s goodness, celebrate the growth and grace we have witnessed, and look ahead with faith and hope to what He will do in the year to come.
