Dads, pack the camping gear, load the kids and get ready to embark on an awesome night away as we kick off the Swan Christian College Fathering Projects first annual Campout on the back oval. This promises to be an unforgettable night under the stars, dedicated to fostering stronger bonds between fathers and their children.

This unique gathering is open to all dads of Kindergarten to Year 12 students from SCC, Swanonline and the STTC. It is a night designed to celebrate the invaluable connection between fathers and their children, providing quality time to strengthen bonds and create cherished memories.

When

Gates Open: 4:00pm on Saturday 28 October 2023

Event Concludes: 9:00am on Sunday 29 October 2023.

What to Expect

Families can expect a fun-filled night with laughter, camaraderie, and heartwarming moments as we come together to enjoy various activities, delicious food, a movie in the college gym and more.

Please bring a chair or beanbag and snacks to enjoy during movie time in the gym.

Tickets

Adults $15

Children $10

All tickets include a Hamburger or Sausage Sizzle and a drink for dinner. Please select your preferred meal option when purchasing your tickets.

Ticket sales closed on Tuesday 24 October.

The Fathering Project – the Swan Way is a sub-committee of the College Parent Christian Life Committee and is run solely by volunteers. Seeking Door Prize Sponsors

The organising committee is seeking sponsorship of door prizes to give away throughout the event. Door prizes could be anything from restaurant vouchers, camping gear, discount codes or trinkets of interest to dads and kids.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if we don’t have camping gear?

Space will be available to sleep in the gym too, so bring a mattress and sleeping bag and enjoy this alternate method of camping.

Can we attend the event but not camp the night?

Yes, Fathers and their children are welcome to attend the event and leave later in the evening. The ticket price remains the same regardless of whether you stay over or not. Please note the College gates will be closed at 10:00pm but will not be locked.

What can I bring to camp in?

Tents, swags, camper trailers and caravans are all welcome at the event.

Tents will be placed on the back oval at the College. Please note that vehicles are prohibited on the ovals.

Camper trailers and caravans are welcome too, please note that all camper trailers and caravans will be directed to camp in College car parks and not on the College ovals.

Please note that sites are unpowered and will have no access to power. Generators are prohibited.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?

Yes, you are welcome to bring food and drinks to supplement the food provided in your ticket. The organising committee is working on snack vendors and will confirm the availability of snacks and drinks nearer the time. Please note Swan Christian College is an alcohol and smoke-free campus.

Will the College gate be locked during the night?

Parents are encouraged to use the main College entrance gate when entering and exiting the College. The regular exit gate will remain closed for the duration of the event. The entry/exit gate will be closed at 10:00pm however this gate will not be locked.

Will there be toilet and shower facilities at the event?

Toilets will be available in the College Gym and N-Blocks. No shower facilities will be available.

Can we bring alcohol?

No, the Fathering Project Campout is an alcohol-free event. Please note that Swan Christian College is a smoke-free campus and using cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vapes or any other smoking paraphernalia is prohibited.
