On Tuesday 31 October, our Junior School celebrated a Grandparents Picnic and Let’s Get Loud Day like never before!Grandparents, teachers and children all donned their brightest and loudest outfits, from colourful hats to funky socks, to raise money for a gold coin donation to the Telethon Speech and Hearing Centre.
The sun was out and it was the perfect day for a BYO picnic outdoors. Grandparents and grandkids from Kindy to Year 6 happily picnicked together and moved to the classrooms to learn about the projects that their grandchildren are involved in. What a wonderful opportunity to create some precious memories! It was heartwarming to see so many smiles and witness some of the students invite students whose grandparents could not make it to join their picnic. Thank you to all the staff, grandparents, parents and students who contributed their time to a wonderful event.
Together, we raised nearly $1,200 for the Telethon Speech and Hearing Centre through generous gold coin donations. It was a heartwarming day of fun, laughter, and support for a great cause.
